Magic and Mayhem is a simple to learn TTRPG (Table Top Role Playing Game) that’s designed to be easy enough for a 6 year old and fun enough to enthrall adventurers of all ages! Game mechanics focus on visual and tactile ways to keep track of the action using tokens. All you need to know about monsters or players is written on the cards. No scratching down and erasing hit points over and over! No looking up stats in tables or searching for obscure rules. Cooperative play takes center stage with group challenges, riddles and coordinated attacks.<\/p>\n

In this game, cooperation is not optional; The dungeon is too dangerous to tackle alone! The game is designed to encourage players to work together, leveraging their varied abilities to defeat difficult foes and solve challenges that couldn’t be beaten by a single hero.<\/p>\n

Magic and Mayhem is not just a single game, it’s a platform! We are already working on expansion packs to add new realms, characters and challenges to the mix. Plus It’s designed with hackability in mind and players get a toolkit for building their own modules at home!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHow Do i Get It?\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t

*A note on AI usage: the images on my cards are generated by AI and based on original sketches by me<\/em><\/a>. They are just placeholders so I can test and develop the game mechanics and gather feedback. I’m currently working on original finished drawings to replace the AI images. Magic and Mayhem<\/strong> didn’t start in a studio; it started at my kitchen table. I wanted a way for my kids, despite their different ages, to actually play together<\/i> without the older ones getting bored or the younger ones getting overwhelmed. We spent rainy afternoons hand-drawing our very first prototype cards, dreaming up monsters and traps that would make us laugh as much as they made us think. What began as a family project became a mission to create the most accessible, high-energy dungeon crawler ever made-one that anyone can play and that prioritizes cooperation and creative problem-solving.<\/p>\n

The current version of the cards have AI generated illustrations based on the original hand sketches that I used in the first prototype of the game (shown above). The image below shows some of the cards next to the sketches I fed to AI to generate the current version. I want to be clear that these AI generated images are only for use in the testing phase. I am working out rules, stats, game mechanics and optimizing for cooperative problem solving and maximum fun! I am now working on original art to replace the AI images in production. I will post the new originals on this website as they are completed.<\/p>\n

Magic and Mayhem will retail for about $50 for the complete self-contained starter set, good for hours and hours of fun. Additional modules will be available for $20-$40. It will first be on Kickstarter and then available for purchase on this website and through select retailers.
